One who seems to be in control of the knife is Miss Lara Stone. Always one to fly by on our radars she is now standing in the spotlight. The March issue of Paris Vogue has been dedicated almost entirely to her, with rumours that Carinne Roitfeld is creating a mini me. There is no doubt however, that the shots are incredible. Lara’s almost mean stare, translucent skin and Bridgette Bardot esque eyes make an irresistible cover.

Although Carinnes impeccable taste and styling insist that no model would make a mockery of Vogues pages Stone is a standout. She manages to pull off the effortlessly chic tailored looks that Carinne has created looking both naturally stunning and exquisitely tailored.

There is no doubt that Stone’s singular feature stands tall against the emergence of the Supermodel guard. Will Carinnes adoration of Stone draw us back into societies obsession with new models or have no pulling power over Chanel’s Claudia Schiffer and Prada’s Linda Evangelista? Surely with Carinne’s superior eye and that quintessential Paris Vogue superpower we will sigh at the images of one so beautiful and stylish.
