Panache

Whats in fashion? A` La Mode . Reporting on the latest collections, newest trends, up and coming labels and the lastest faces in fashion. Everything that's in, thats new, that you want to know about. Welcome to a` la mode.

Who's new? Bianca Brandolini and Rosie Huntington Whitely have been named 2 of the top Best Dressed in 2008 by Vogue US. And their style certainly entrances. Whitely's style is chic and inventive, using layers of Burberry, Alexander Wang and other cool kids on the block ( like Peter Pilotto) to create her model panache. She certainly took her dues from fronting Burberry's summer campaign.
Meanwhile Bianca rocks the classic lines of Valentino and Oscar De La Renta. The acting student certainly has the bloodline and beauty to pull off such striking looks and does so with ease. Her long limbs and aristocratic style mark her as one to watch.
So has Anna Wintour delivered us the best of them for 2009? Some might say she's losing her touch, with runours of her leaving her position and Carinne Roitfield taking over Vogue US.
Paris Vogue would certainly be lost without her stunning style and inspiring influence.
Anna's reign has spanned over two decades, the mere mention of her name striking reverence down every fashionistas spine.
Will she continue to dominate the pages of the US Vogue superpower or let her position go? I'll keep you updated.
The gatekeepers of fashion will soon have busy schedules, with the AW collections just around the corner. Who will beat Balmains stunning collection of tailored shoulders and artfully distressed jeans? . Christophe Decarnin decides its time to wear infantry inspired jackets....and we follow.
